For Clients
Find a provider who fits your needs and takes your insurance. Our diverse team means we can meet you where you are – no matter what brings you to us.
When I first entered the mental health field, I thought that helping people meant giving them advice. I've learned along the way that truly helping someone make a lasting transformation means guiding them to trust themselves and get to their own answers.

I specialize in working with clients to navigate life transitions and the feelings that can often come with them such as depression, anxiety, loss/feeling lost, and the big "what now" questions. I also use my personal experience of being a D1 athlete to work with both current and former athletes. There are so many underserved populations - such as athletes and communities of color - who don't get the support they need, and I strive to reach as many of those populations as possible.
I provide a safe, non judgmental space where you can express yourself openly and freely. Together we will work on those areas where you feel you struggle most, exploring new perspectives, ideas, and skills. The truth is, most of us are doing the best we can with what we've received from our loved ones, environment, and early experiences. My goal is to have you leave with more, and for your best to only get better.

As we navigate life in this complicated world, we develop beliefs, perceptions, and narratives about who we are based on our experiences - both good and bad. While some of these thought patterns are supportive, others can be harmful and might be keeping you stuck in negative cycles. I work to help you identify, challenge, and rewrite those unhelpful beliefs.

I believe that every human being has unique strengths, talents, and resources that often remain uncovered or minimized amidst an onslaught of life stressors. I work collaboratively with you to bring out your strengths and help you change, accept, or remove life stressors so you can get back on track with your purpose and goals. Together, we’ll challenge and overcome the obstacles that have become hurdles.
Our journey together will be as unique as you are, as this type of work cannot be one-size-fits-all. Instead, I’ll tailor my methods to match your experience, trauma, and life situation. We’ll follow the path you need to follow. Along the way I might challenge those negative thought patterns, suggest a visit to your primary care physician to rule out physical causes of your mental health status, or refer you to a psychiatrist to explore the option of medication if I think it might be helpful. As your therapist, my goal is to help you live a life with purpose and meaning.

You deserve to thrive, not just survive. If it feels like you are locked in an exhausting battle with your thoughts and emotions, I will show you how to have a different relationship with them. Feelings can be transformed in therapy, giving you the motivation to commit to what matters to you.

I specialize in treating an often unrecognized condition: trauma. If you suffer from chronic depression or anxiety, undiagnosed trauma might be the reason why previous therapy has not worked for you. I also have significant experience working with veterans and treating chronic and acute PTSD. As we begin working together, my focus will be on earning your trust. I have learned that compassion counts as much as knowledge; I could be the foremost expert in my field, but if you do not feel safe with me, none of that matters.
After decades of experience and training as a therapist, I have a broad array of approaches that I can adapt to fit your needs and preferences; I am definitely not a “one-therapy-fits-all” clinician. My focus will be on helping you start to feel better right away; it should not take months of therapy for you to feel positive results. In every session, I will continue to check in to make sure the therapy is landing well with you.

While we are all on a lifelong journey to understand ourselves and others, no standard approach to therapy could possibly capture the complexity of everyone’s struggles, nor the uniqueness of an individual person. Throughout my life, I have always found that deepening my understanding of myself and my connections with others has resulted in great personal growth and more satisfying relationships. As a therapist, it is my goal to share that with my clients. By uncovering the psychological roots of your emotions, I seek to help you understand what’s influencing your behavior. We’ll then focus on transforming those thoughts and behaviors that stand in the way of how you would like to live your life.
Overall, I am a goal-oriented clinician who encourages skill building and independence while emphasizing the importance of interpersonal relationships and deep connections. I also love what I do - there is no higher honor to me than helping someone find happiness. For that reason, I will always be excited to see you, whether you are in a good or bad place. I am an actively involved therapist and truly feel that we are “in it together,” meaning I will match your efforts in meeting your goals.

Do you ever feel out of touch with yourself? Often, we go through life so focused on external pressure, rules, and opinions that we forget to check in with ourselves. My greatest joy lies in empowering my clients to get to know, love, and bring forward their authentic selves. I aspire to help others find their voice and show them that the painful, uncomfortable, and hidden parts of their stories are just as meaningful as those that are joyful and lighthearted. I welcome questions, ugly truths, laughter, trauma, tears, joy, and fear, because how would we be human if we weren’t so beautifully complex? We’ll prioritize concerns, establish short-term and long-term goals, and explore patterns of behavior that have hindered your ability to undergo self-growth and emotional healing. This process will involve examining the interactions between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Additionally, we’ll build awareness of the present moment, pause, check in with the mind, body, and heart, and discuss any observations you make about yourself. Instead of applying a “one-size-fits-all” method, we’ll work together to create our own trajectory, pinpoint goals that align with your values and strengths, and progress through treatment at an organic pace.

Trauma can feel like a cage keeping you trapped inside of behaviors, feelings, and situations that you desperately want to leave behind. Most people think that “trauma” means undergoing extreme abuse, a natural disaster, or a near-death experience. In reality, trauma can be caused by experiencing any situation that was beyond your ability to cope and left you feeling an overwhelming amount of stress and/or isolation. It can occur in both childhood and adulthood and produces not only post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex PTSD, but also anxiety, depression, and changes to one’s personality.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I work with my clients to build a bond of trust and create a space that is safe, non-judgmental, and collaborative. In initial sessions, I do more listening than talking to ensure that I understand what you want to achieve in therapy. Then we work together to create a plan that will help you reach your specific goals. Often, trying to tackle trauma head-on has adverse effects, so I allow you to set the pace of therapy, approaching topics as you feel ready.

We are all the authors of our own story, but sometimes you need a proofreader to help you find aspects of yourself that you might not notice otherwise. I believe that knowledge is one of the best tools for growth and a key component in healing trauma. In a safe, compassionate environment, I seek to help my clients learn about themselves and discover what might be behind their thought patterns. Once you better understand yourself, you can form a strong foundation for growing in the direction that you want to go.
I offer a warm approach that is free from judgment and encourages forgiveness and growth when addressing the mistakes that we all make in life. All conflict and discomfort can be processed and turned into a learning and growing experience. We can talk about anything you wish; there is no limit to anything you’d like to explore to process, heal, or gain a better understanding of yourself. I consider it a privilege to join and support you as you write this chapter of your story.

If your teenager is often defensive, closed off, or angry, you may feel unsure of how to help them. You may even worry that they won’t open up to a therapist. To benefit from therapy, teens need to feel heard, understood, and valued. By gently building a therapeutic alliance of trust, mutual respect, and understanding, I work with teens and their families to support the child and improve family functioning.

As an educator, I realized that there was so much more to a child’s behavior than what we saw exhibited in the classroom. I enjoyed teaching a wide range of skills, but I wanted to be able to help kids beyond the limited scope of a classroom teacher. I became a therapist so I could partner with parents and make an impact on the functioning of each child’s family, creating a solid support network and more positive change for the child.
By working with children in school settings, hospital settings, and private practice, I have learned how to put them at ease so that they feel comfortable opening up and leaning into the support that I offer. Above all, I want them to feel respected and valued in our work together. Instead of another authority figure dictating their life, I play the role of a guide and partner in their journey to find their voice and choose their path.

I truly believe that we can achieve deep healing when our feelings and needs are heard and met by those around us. I strive to provide that safe space where you can come to be seen, understood, and accepted. From that place of trust and vulnerability, we’ll work to cultivate your personal growth. It can be hard to see beyond your current challenges, which is why I like to zoom out and for a holistic view that encompasses identity, culture, religion (if present), and worldview. Once I get an accurate picture of your values and goals, I use it to determine which methods would best suit your needs.
I specialize in treating trauma and substance use issues. I am trained in numerous evidence-based psychotherapies such as EMDR, Parts & Memory, Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Every human is a unique mix of identities, experiences, fears, dreams, and values. As a licensed clinical psychologist, I am well-versed in theory and operate from a foundation of science. However, I also believe that it is essential to recognize the humanity behind everyone’s struggles and actions. Instead of prescribing one method or strategy, I pull different theories together and collaborate with you to craft a healing journey as unique as you are. I set three goals for myself in every session: bearing witness to your story, approaching everything with genuine curiosity, and going beyond empathetic listening to dig deeper and create real change.
As a First-Generation Queer Therapist of Color who has experienced discrimination and racism, I offer validation to my clients’ lived experiences. Social justice and advocacy are key facets of my professional identity. I believe that all healing is based in reparative relationships with others, and this is what we work on establishing first. My goal will be to understand you to the best of my ability so that we can work together to get you moving toward the best version of yourself. Throughout this therapeutic relationship building, I integrate the teaching of coping skills and different ways to process emotions.
We will work to help you feel confident utilizing these coping skills on your own so you are better able to manage difficult emotions that arise day-to-day. I am very willing to sit with you through those painful feelings that others in your life may wish to avoid. Sometimes you need another person to get in the trenches of emotional pain with you before you can climb your way out of them and into acceptance. I would feel privileged to be the therapist that supports you through this process.

I believe in embracing the entire human experience - the light as well as the dark. Deeply knowing oneself is the most powerful tool we can possess in life. I will be your guide into the depths of yourself to help you form a clear vision based on not only your conscious experiences, but your unconscious mind as well. When appropriate, I approach the unconscious material via dream work.
As a compassionate therapist who is sincerely vested in your journey of healing, my mission is to lead you to see yourself as clearly as possible so you can holistically heal, love, and exist harmoniously. When we reach the point where we truly understand ourselves in a profound way, we don’t magically ascend - however when we know our shadows, we can learn to work with them and not project them. We transform into more compassionate beings, paving a softer, easier, more loving path for ourselves and those around us.

I hold one truth above all else in my work: clients are humans first. While I primarily perform psychological assessments, I know that people are more than data. I am a huge proponent of assessments because they bring clarity and can give direction when someone is feeling stuck or out of options. Once we have that data, we can dig into what it means and make a plan for moving forward.
Each client is unique, so no two treatment plans will ever be the same. As a therapist, I use a flexible, humanistic approach where the client leads and I guide. Whether I’m performing an assessment or practicing therapy, I aim to be as transparent as possible by explaining every tactic and tool I’m using in clear terms. During our time together, I’ll meet you where you’re at with compassion, gentle humor, and strategies to facilitate the process of you becoming the best version of yourself.

Like many black families, we didn’t really talk about our emotions when I was growing up. My parents loved and provided for me, but I was often left to my own devices when it came to processing difficult emotions and experiences. It was very isolating, and I didn’t know how to regulate my feelings. As an adult, I’m here to support others who feel alone with their emotions like I did. My therapeutic style is highly client-centered. Based on your unique circumstances and goals, I’ll recommend the methods that I believe will best facilitate your healing and personal growth.
By offering therapy in ASL to the deaf and hard of hearing, as well as culturally competent therapy to BIPOC, I hope to support populations who typically don’t get enough attention from the mental health community. However, I truly enjoy working with clients from all walks of life. Whoever you are and whatever you’re facing, I would be honored to join you on your journey!

If you’re feeling “off,” you may know yourself well enough to acknowledge that something needs to change, but the way forward feels unclear or scary. There can be no change without awareness. I view therapy as a tool for just that: increased understanding of our inner and outer worlds.

As your therapist, I start by helping you become aware of the realities that inform your view of the world and yourself - and that may be holding you back. With compassion and great care for safety, we’ll continue to uncover the personal strengths that can equip you with the self-confidence to navigate your life and relationships.
As your guide on this journey, I strive to create trust and safety in our relationship so that we can talk about difficult subjects that may have caused you to form fears and ideas about yourself and the world that aren’t serving you. We’ll explore their origins, the impact they've had, how they've been maintained or overcome, and collaborate on identifying goals and options for moving forward.
My training and personal development provide me with insight specifically into how different family, social, and cultural contexts influence the views we develop of ourselves and others. I look forward to exploring your world together!

If you find yourself worrying often, feeling alone, or feeling depressed, there are ways to sit with those emotions without getting overwhelmed. If you are asking how, this is where therapy comes in. It can be scary and vulnerable to participate in therapy, but that vulnerability is what leads to change.

The act of revealing oneself fully to another and being accepted is often a foreign experience to people, but one that I strive to allow all of my clients to experience. I appreciate and honor the uniqueness that each client brings and enjoy working collaboratively to help you reach your goals. I take a curious approach to get you used to questioning your actions, assumptions, and the stories you tell yourself about yourself. With care and empathy, I will work with you as you grow into the person you truly want to be. We will always work at your pace; I will never push you or take you to places you are not ready to go. If you need to work through trauma, I will assist you gently and with great care. My goal is to meet you where you are, build a strong therapeutic alliance, and empower you to move forward. I strive to facilitate personal growth and am genuinely interested in getting to know you.

My passion lies in working with clients who need assistance with personal empowerment and identity development. My goal is to instill hope by identifying areas of strength, resilience, and capacity for positive change. Effective therapy takes effort and commitment from both the therapist and the client. I honor the courage it takes to show up, and together, we’ll create a space of zero judgment, full understanding, and growth.
Embarking on this journey can be difficult, but through our time together, you will reach more awareness, deeper insight, stronger relationships, and a stronger sense of yourself, your goals, and the tools you have to reach them. You’ll get the skills you need to overcome both inner and outer battles and direct your life down any path you choose. There will be ups and downs and moments of weakness and strength, but we will go through that process together and ultimately reach the highest and best version of yourself.

In our society, men are conditioned to believe that we shouldn’t express our emotions, show vulnerability, or seek emotional support. When I struggled with anxiety and depression as a young man, I didn’t know how to ask for help. I ended up internalizing everything, which made me believe that I was abnormal and completely alone in how I was feeling. It was only through therapy later in life that I was able to have my experience validated, accept myself for who I was, and move forward with self-compassion. I learned that therapy is powerful, and I want to bring that healing to others.
As someone who has made great strides in therapy, I know that the foundation of a successful therapeutic journey is the relationship between the therapist and the client. Therefore, I work to make you comfortable by building a relationship based on trust, respect, and unconditional positive regard. I believe that my clients have just as much to teach me as I have to teach them, and I’m ready to learn all about you!

I found my love of psychology in the unlikeliest of places: a TV show. In Korea, we had a reality show about a child psychiatrist who helped families with troubled kids. Through her keen observations and interventions, she was able to create positive change in every family she visited. As a child, I was pretty sure she had superpowers! I wanted the power to change lives for the better like that, so I pursued a career in psychology.
I work to make my clients feel comfortable by connecting with them as human beings, meeting them where they are, and making my genuine interest and enthusiasm clear. As a bilingual female clinician with a multicultural background who has lived in three different countries, I know firsthand the struggles of acculturation, immigration, racial identity, and women’s issues. If any of those factors play into your identity or the struggles you face, I can validate your experiences from a place of empathy. I truly enjoy working with clients from all backgrounds, and I would be honored to support you on your path to a higher quality of life.

Wanting to feel safe and connected is a basic human need. When we don’t feel seen and heard, we don’t feel safe, and that makes it hard to live the life we truly desire. I aim to foster a safe connection that allows the unfolding of your truest self. It would be my honor to walk alongside you and support your journey within.

I am here for you. As we walk through life, we often carry a load of complex feelings and unresolved baggage on our shoulders. Sometimes, the weight of it all can be unbearable. This makes life harder than it has to be, especially when we are already trying to do our best with what we find in ourselves. As a therapist, I believe that a relationship with an attentive, caring, and nonjudgmental person can provide security and strength to explore our inner processes that sometimes seem stuck and unclear.
Therapy will be a safe place to practice shedding light on the parts that you'd like more understanding, healing, growth, and change. I strive to create a safe place where you can talk about what’s most important to you. By listening deeply, I am dedicated to understanding where you stand, in all your thoughts and feelings. Through mirroring and reflecting, I am committed to helping you identify and move toward the future you desire.

I believe that life is a wild and wonderful journey, but it leaves scars on all of us. It’s also easy to feel lost or unsure of which direction to take. My own path has had more twists and turns than I would have thought possible, and I am immensely grateful for the support I have received along the way.
As a therapist, I am honored to be that support for my clients. I see them not only for who they are, but who they can become. We’ll work together to identify where you are, and point to your North Star so that you know where you’re going. Then, we’ll tackle the obstacles getting in your way. I strive to be the kind of therapist that I would like to have myself; one that is curious about their client's struggles, celebrates with them in their successes, demonstrates exquisite vulnerability, and recognizes the importance of "coming up for air," or injecting humor when the moment calls for lightness.

As we navigate life in this complicated world, we develop beliefs, perceptions, and narratives about who we are based on our experiences - both good and bad. While some of these thought patterns are supportive, others can be harmful and might be keeping you stuck in negative cycles. As a former personal trainer and life coach, I have a heavy emphasis on identifying which actions you can take to move you closer to your goals. If you’re open to it, I can help you build consistency into your life. I combine goal-oriented interventions with traditional talk therapy as needed to bring you closer to the vision you have for yourself.
When you tell me your story, struggles, and current situation, I don’t just provide a listening ear; I listen for what you need and want from me - even if you can’t quite put it into words yourself. Whether you need to vent, are seeking validation, want to process your history, or could use actionable advice, I become a part of your journey. I specialize in relationships - including couples therapy - anxiety, depression, eating disorders, body image, infertility, and postpartum depression.
I also offer psychological consultations/evaluations and reports for intended parents, sperm and egg donors, and gestational carriers.

Then you can create the change you need!

I take a very collaborative approach to therapy because I firmly believe that you are the expert of your own life. You belong in the driver’s seat, not me or any other therapist. As your co-pilot, my focus is on supporting you along the ride so we can chart a course to your chosen destination. If you find yourself repeatedly making choices that later make you think “Why on earth do I keep doing that?”, I can help you become aware of the underlying thoughts and feelings that might be playing a part.
We’ll take an honest look at your current situation to define your starting point. Then, you’ll decide where you'd like to be. To get you there, we’ll set achievable goals, then focus on changing what needs to change for you to reach them. Along the way, I’ll provide an accepting, open, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment that encourages exploration into your thoughts and feelings.

I have always believed that therapy is about the relationship between the client and the therapist. For an effective relationship, I think it’s important to take the hierarchy out of the room and replace it with simple human interaction. As I listen to your story, I’ll highlight the narrative and point out where we can reinforce helpful parts and reframe unhelpful ones.
Allowing me to hear your story and come along on your journey gives me the opportunity to ask questions that might not have occurred to you. These questions might change your perspective, or they might confirm that you are making the best choices for you and you should keep going. I use humor as a tool to break down defense mechanisms, make sessions more memorable, ask tough questions, help my clients regulate, and sometimes just to bring joy to a situation where it may be hard to find. Let’s see where the conversation takes us!
